Just got wind of an Entrepreneur.com top-10 list of businesses facing extinction in 10 years.
The potentially-bad news for The Daily Record? Newspapers are No. 5. (still two spots away from No. 3 - crop dusters - though!).
The good news for "On the Record"? While the writer has low expectations for printing presses, he notes that newspapers' content will likely migrate to the Internet.
While some of the other businesses that "made the cut" aren't a surprise (...Record stores are No. 1...) I did find spot No. 4 as a surprise: Gay bars.
Apparently the Orlando Sentinel was the first to note that gay bars around the country are going out of business as gay people gain greater societal acceptance.
Do you agree with their forecast for newspapers?
What are your picks for businesses that will go the way of the dinosaur in the next 10 years?
What is glaringly left off the list?
